In addition to the care provided throughout the claims process Photofile are able to offer a ‘No Win No Fee’ Taxi Service. This is not only of great assistance to many of our clients but it has proven to assist in decreasing many of the DNAs that instructing solicitors also experience.

If the claim is successful, Photofile provide you with a separate invoice allowing the instructing solicitor the option of which route they choose when recovering costs. If the case fails then Photofile agrees to write off this fee.

Medical Report FAQs

  • How long is an examination?

    This is often dependant on the type of expert instructed; appointments with General Practitioners can take 10 – 15 minutes however an appointment with a Consultant is likely to take between 30 minutes – 1 hour.

  • Can you assist my client in getting to their appointment?

    Photofile Medical offer a ‘No Win, No Fee’ taxi service and if agreeable with you, we are able to provide you with a quotation for approval and then proceed in arranging this option. For further information, please call 01285 650 899.

  • Can you assist my client with translation?

    Photofile Medical is able to offer translators for a range of languages. Each will be discussed and quoted upon instruction.

  • Can you request records from outside the UK?

    Photofile Medical is able to obtain records worldwide and often undertake such requests for Australia, Sweden, Finland, etc. If you require translation for these records, we are also able to provide this service. All quotations are volume specific and are discussed for each case.

  • If you would like to instruct a preferred expert for non-RTA portal cases, is this possible?

    Yes, if you have a list of experts with whom you have a good working relationship with or prefer to use, call us on 01285 650 899 to confirm if they are a member of the Photofile panel. If they are not, then advise us of their details and Photofile are happy to open discussions with the aim of adding them to our strong network of experts.

  • What happens if my client fails to attend their medical appointment?

    As a company, we do not make a charge for the first DNA with the exception of specialists; this is a cost absorbed by us. Any subsequent DNA’s are advised to you within 72 hours and charged at the rate of the expert only.

  • What is your average report turnaround?

    This is dependant on the speciality of the expert instructed; for GP reports we average a 14 day turnaround from appointment and orthopaedic reports average a 21 day turn around.  Non-standard report turnaround times are advised at the point of nomination.  Alternatively, for straight to instruct cases, turnaround times are advised at the time of appointment confirmation.

  • Do you offer cost reductions on failed cases?

    In the event of case failure, Photofile Medical will reduce their fee to that of the expert and case notes only. For further details, please call 01285 650 899.

Rehabilitation Services FAQs

  • What distance is my client expected to travel?

    As a nationwide provider of rehabilitation services, Photofile are often able to instruct a therapist within 10 miles of your client.  However the appointment venue is always discussed with your client at the time of booking an appointment to check they are able to attend. If they require further assistance with travel, bear in mind Photofile’s ‘No Win, No Fee’ taxi service.

  • Can my client choose whether they are seen by a male or female therapist?

    Yes, Photofile will always accommodate requests such as this where possible.

  • Can you provide rehabilitation for children?

    Yes, for children aged 12 or over Photofile are always happy to assist. From our experience any child under this age would be better treated under hospital guidelines, to ensure that their standard rate of development is not impeded.

  • What is your turnaround for rehabilitation reports?

    Dependant on the therapy instructed, Photofile’s final report turnaround can vary however, we always aim to provide a report within 7 days following any IA or discharge session.

  • What is the best way of instructing Photofile?

  • Do you offer coverage of all areas within the UK?

    Simply, yes. Photofile have a nationwide coverage of photographers, videographers, medical experts and rehabilitation therapists. If you have a specific requirement for an individual party to be instructed let us know and Photofile are always happy to assist in any way we can.

  • Do you offer any alternative appointments to the standard weekday times?

    Yes, at Photofile we pride ourselves on the level of client care we are able to give and scheduling mutually convenient appointments for any of our services is a crucial part of this.

  • What does my client need to take with them to their appointment?

    Dependant on which service you have instructed us for, there may be some variants in the documentation required but this is always discussed with your client prior to their appointment. As a rule, we always advise a form of photographic identification will suffice.

  • Do Photofile offer deferred payment terms?
